Tell Congress to Stand up for Endangered Species

Countless endangered species could go extinct under the Trump administration’s latest policies – including the North Atlantic right whale. If the government quits defending endangered species from the biggest threats they face, they might never recover. Right whales are facing extinction if we don’t fight back.

Please do not vote for H.R.9436, the so-called “Northeast Lobsterman Protection Act of 2026,” if it comes to a vote in the Senate. This bill would postpone key protections for critically endangered North Atlantic right whales for nearly a decade. Entanglements in fishing gear are a leading cause of death for right whales, and preventing this deadly threat is crucial for right whales’ recovery. 

This bill is part of a larger assault on endangered species by the Trump administration, including dismantling the Endangered Species Act and trying to get rid of policies that protect whales from collisions with vessels. This puts right whales and countless other species at risk of extinction. Please do everything you can to protect endangered species from the administration’s attacks.
