Petition: Stop Lead Poisoning in Manchester
Every year, about 100 Manchester children are poisoned by lead. That’s 100 kids each year who will suffer the permanent, lifelong impacts of lead. This tragic problem – which disproportionately affects low-income families and communities of color – has gone on for too long.
The time is now for Manchester’s elected and city officials to take action. The time is now for the city to strengthen its local ordinances to ensure safer housing for our families and to prevent childhood lead poisoning. Our children cannot wait. Sign here and tell our city officials, enough is enough. Every child in Manchester deserves safe housing free of lead hazards.
