President Trump is trying to strip protections for New England’s Northeast Canyons and Seamounts Marine National Monument, one of the most extraordinary ocean habitats in the country.

We can’t let this stand. This monument is a biodiversity hotspot and one of the most biologically productive areas in the Atlantic Ocean. But Trump wants to open it to commercial fishing and other destructive activities, directly threatening the fragile marine life that depends on these protected waters.
